"THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY"

Five Week Comprehensive Course

This is a five week course, preparing you to cope with the birth of your baby and the first few weeks after birth. Each session is relaxed and informal lasting two hours, with exercises and relaxation each week. At the end of each class there will be time to ask questions and chat to other couples. Interaction with other couples is part of the experience where you can share your fears and dreams. More information can be found here

"ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE"

Labour Rehearsal - This four hour, one off workshop, will be conducted in small groups with light refreshments included.

Experience labour without the pain. I will lead you through your labour day by helping you to imagine and experience your labour from start to finish. More information can be found here.

“LIFE WITH BABY”

Designed to complement ‘One Day in your Life’, ‘Life with Baby’ is a three-hour workshop covering all aspects of caring for your newborn baby. More information can be found here.

"REFRESHER CLASS"

This two hour session is designed for busy mums who already have a child but would like to refresh their memories and perhaps learn new skills. More information can be found here.

"ONE TO ONE"

Exclusive, private antenatal education tailored to your individual needs in the comfort of your own home. Times and duration are to suit you with sessions starting from £35 per hour, plus travelling expenses.

NEW FOR 2009

"JUST POPPING OUT PLUS"

To help improve your confidence I am now offering home visits before and after your baby is born. Two services are available:

Week 36 antenatal visits. I will help you prepare for the birth by checking your suitcase is packed with all the essentials you need for the hospital, helping you to get your home ready for the new arrival and going over any issues or questions you may have regarding the birth of your baby. The cost of the visit will be £35 or £20 if booked following any other course or session.

Postnatal Visits. Postnatal visits are available for you to book when you need them, when convenient to you and in the comfort of your own home. As a midwife I can show you techniques to help with feeding your baby, topping and tailing, bathing, settling and helping you get into a routine. My aim is to get you both feeling more confident with handling your baby. One visit will cost £40, two £60 or £100 for four.

These visits are not intended as an alternative to your NHS midwife visits but as a compliment.

PLEASE NOTE

It is essential that you wear loose fitting clothing to all classes and bring two pillows to make yourselves more comfortable. Refreshments will be provided at all classes.
