"ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE"

One day in your life Labour Rehearsal - This four hour, one off workshop, will be given to no more than 6 couples per workshop. Light refreshments are included.

Experience labour without the pain. I will lead you through your labour day by helping you to imagine and experience your labour from start to finish.

Topics covered include:

Preparing for D day, including some exercises and stretching
The start of labour
Your partner's role and sharing the experience
How to cope with labour at home
When to call the midwife or go into hospital
Breathing and relaxation techniques to cope with labour pains
Massage and active birth positions.
Stages of labour and how to recognise them
Informed choice of pain relief
Complimentary and alternative methods of pain relief.
Positions to enhance normal delivery
The birth of your baby
The first few hours of your baby's life
The first feed
Now you're a family!

There will a period of reflection and relaxation at the end of the session with time to ask questions. This session is ideal for busy couples were time is limited.
